Assalamu alaikum,son in law of my elder brother is very serious ill having some genetical disease he lost his job having no source of income my brother is giving best support for treatment, food and etc. but treatment is very costly can my brother use ZAKAT for this .

If that person (patient) does not own gold, silver or cash equal to nisab and is entitled to receive zakah, then your brother may give him zakah money.
