Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
We are four brothers and three sisters. I want to know what could be the share of daughters in father’s property. I will be very thankful to you if you let me know the answers as earliest as possible.

(Fatwa: 864/864/M=1434)

If your father is alive then he alone is the owner of his property. His children have no share in it. Yes, if father wants to distribute his property among his children during his lifetime then it is mustahab to give equal shares to all male and female children. But if your father has died and left behind only four sons and three daughters and there is no other heir then all the property of the father shall be divided into 11 shares. Out of which 2-2 shares shall go to each son and 1-1 share to each daughter i.e. one daughter shall get half of one son.
