Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon His Messenger Muhammad, his folk, companions, and followers

Wa alaykum as-Salam,

Provided the community that uses the mosque is properly informed and has no objection, and this playing is done outside the times of prayer or study, and full mosque decorum is kept at all times, and provided the duff used is the small traditional hand instrument played in a traditional manner with spiritually uplifting lyrics then Yes, it should be a praiseworthy manner of da`wa to the youngsters together with food and teaching in sha Allah and has been used in the past by Sufi Shuyukh with success from Allah Most High.
