Is it permissible to light decorations during the month of ‘Muahram’?

Aslam-o-alakum I am from gujrat.in our state and city ‘Rajkot’people make lighting decoration in the month of ‘Muahram’ calling it ‘Rosni’. So my question is that is it okay lighting decoration in the month of ‘Muahram’?

Answer:

(Fatwa: 167/124/H=1432)

According to Islam, this practice (of lighting and decoration) is haram and a sin.
