Her husband agreed to pretend that he was a muslim so that they could have the nikkah, to keep her family happy. Is the nikkah valid? Is my friend still a muslim? What about her kids – what religion will they be?
Answer:
It is not permissible for a muslim female to marry a non-muslim. If your friend discovered that her husband is not a muslim, her marriage is NULL and void. She cannot live with him.
