Making zikr in the mind

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it allowed to read zikr in your mind without moving your lips or tongue?

Bismillaah

A: Yes. Zikr is the remembrance of the heart. However, through one moving one’s tongue while making zikr, one will receive an extra reward as another limb of the body is also engaged in zikr (remembrance of Allah Ta’ala).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
