بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 294/294/B=04/1437)

An animal that a Muslim slaughters by reciting the name of Allah is called halal. And animal that is slaughtered by a Muslim but without reciting the name of Allah as well as the animal that is slaughtered by a non-Muslim both are called jhatka (haram); such animal becomes haram and it is not lawful to consume its meat.
