We have approximately 800 grams of gold and we are paying zakah during every Ramadan. We have a kid aged 3.5 years old and we have gifted (waqf) 300 grams of gold. I have heard from people that I need to pay zakah for the remaining 500 grams every year and not for the gold which we gifted (waqf) to our son (3.5 years). Please let me know if zakah payable on the entire 800 grams or only 500 grams. Kindly clarify.

In the question mentioned above when you gifted 300 gram gold to your minor son out of 800 gram gold then you have to pay the zakah of 500 gram gold only.
Note: However, if you mean something else with the word ‘waqf’ then please explain it and submit your question again.
