In the Name of Allah, the Inspirer of Truth. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
We have no idea if these are truly Halaal. We are not aware of the authenticity of this organisation so prudence demands caution. Please avoid these sweets.
‘Halaal’ Jelly Sweets Galore!
We have received several queries asking whether certain Jelly sweets are Halaal as they claim.
Firstly, the gelatine must be produced locally (if from a Muslim country) and Dhaabeeh. Nowadays, it is an unbecoming trend to import gelatine and meat from non Muslim countries sometimes even accompanied by a “halaal certificate” hence the reason why much prudence is essential. It is also known that some companies have mixed halaal and imported gelatine (from non Muslim companies) to make up the shortfall in gelatine supplies. We recommend abstention unless absolutely sure.
And Allah knows Best Wa Alaykumussalaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
