Giving zakaat to the Musjid to purchase a loudspeaker

Q: Can I give zakaat for buying a loudspeaker for the masjid because we can’t hear azaan properly?

Bismillaah

A: No, this is not permissible. Zakaat should be given to poor deserving Muslims.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
