Question: My father is making me attend exams for university and skip my last year of school, something that is considered cheating and illegal.  I know this is wrong, but  I’m a minor who is still dependent on my family, so I don’t know what to do. I also have these more specific questions: 1)My friends are sure to ask about my education. Can I tell them and smile about it? Or would it be like smiling about a sin? Can I ever be happy at university, knowing my education was attained by wrong means? 2)) Could you call my education haram as of now? And the education that I have to undertake in the following years to come? 3) Would I be receive hardships for these sins I did not commit? You mentioned that in Islam, “we are not questioned by God of sins we commit under duress, mistake or forgetfulness”, so will we be physically tested upon? 4) Could these sins be cleansed by good actions? Is this question considered backbiting?

Question: I’m a teenage girl and I have a guy friend of 2 years and I did fall in love with him without meaning to. We talked about marriage in the future but now we are just friends. I don’t have the same feelings for him ever since I turned towards Islam. I know it was wrong of me to become friends with him and to love him, but I’m really trying to become a better Muslim and I tried to end our friendship last year but I couldn’t. I am thinking about it again and I just want assurance that it’s the right thing to do.

Question: I’m pregnant with my third child. With my previous pregnancies I had terrible post partum hemorrhage as well as severe post partum depression. I have a midwife who suggests freeze drying and encapsulating the placenta (for consumption) as it has been proven to prevent/help hemorrhage as well as post partum depression. Is this halal?

Question: In a class I attended recently, we were told that reciting Surah Yaseen is a sunnah for the sick and dying (in their presence). However, it is not a sunnah not after a persons death. We were told this was a cultural practice and brings no benefit to the deceased. Is this true?

Question: Is it true that all Imams of the Muslims agree upon, that if someone does not pray continuously and fails to perform make up prayers, then he is a kafir even if the believes that the 5 prayers are compulsory? Also, if it’s true, why would someone who did not pray for 20 years or so, have to make them all up, if he was considered a kafir anyway? I ask, because there are fatawa, that suggest to make up all missed prayers for missed prayers, even if for many years. At what point does missing prayers shift from religious corruption to becoming kufr?  Are there clear cut definitions?
