Losing hope in dua getting accepted

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have read that if someone loses hope about acceptance of dua, his dua is not accepted, right? If a person made dua but kind of lost hope in it’s acceptance but then made the same dua with the believe that that dua will be accepted, will it be accepted like a dua which is made with full hope?

Bismillaah

A: Losing hope in Allah Ta`ala is not the work of a Muslim.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
