Keeping the name Hayyat

Q: I would like to know if the name “Hayyat” is appropriate for a baby girl.

Bismillaah

A: One meaning of hayyat is snake. Hence, it will not be an appropriate name to keep.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
