Question:

I know laughing within prayer breaks wuḍū, but does laughing outside prayer break wuḍū?

Answer:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Jazāk Allāh Khayr/ Thank you for contacting Mathabah Institute.

Laughing outside the prayer (alah) does not break the wuḍū. – (See: Al-Bināyah, Vol 1, Page 287, Dār Al-Kutub Al-‘Ilmīyyah[1])

Only Allāh knows best.
