assalamalykum i keep my son name Mohaamad.but some people says this name should not be kept because if somebody will scold/abuse/tease-your son so it will be insult for prophet also.

To name ?Muhammad? is allowed rather desirable. But, while calling such person it should be observed that the name is not deformed. There will be no insolence against the prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) if the person having this name is abused. However, one can have any other pet name to be called commonly.
