We have 6 brothers and two sisters. How to distribute our land among themselves. As there are two lands one is in commercial area and the other one is in residential area?

If the said lands were in the possession of your father and he has died as well as your mother too, and none of your father’s parents was alive i.e. your grandfather and grandmother died before your father, then the said lands shall be divided into 14 shares. Out of the total, 2-2 shares shall go to each brother and 1-1 share shall go to each sister.
Note: (1) The value and cost of both the lands might differ. Hence each land should be divided separately and the share should be fixed.
(2) Or evaluate the cost of both the lands and divide the share in rupees.
