Doubts with regards to purity

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I am in dire need of your help. I’m an extremely doubtful person and I keep doubting my purity over everything and keep washing and cleaning. When I use the toilet for istinja I make sure I clean properly to overcome any doubts later. But during istinja some water drop fall on my feet and sometimes they don’t. I’m not sure whether that water is pure or impure as I clean the side areas to be sure just in case impurity has touched it. Sometimes water splashes back from the shower and falls on my feet or sometimes during washing some drops fall on feet. I end up washing my feet every time and this just makes everything so difficult as after washing feet I have to mop the whole bathroom floor. Life has become so tedious. Please confirm for me if the water droplets that fall during istinja are pure or impure as I don’t understand this concept and I’m just going to extremes. When I try to avoid at times I feel that I will make the whole house impure if by chance the water will be impure and my prayers will be affected and they wont be valid.

Bismillaah

A: If water falls on your feet, it will not make you impure. Do not pay attention to these doubts.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
