Defining Shaheed-e-Dunyawi: When is a Muslim Considered a Martyr in Today’s World?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a Muslim is robbed and murdered innocently, and dies on the spot, is he a shaheed-e-dunyawi? In our country in this time and age, which situations would be classified as shaheed-e-dunyawi?

Bismillaah

A: Yes.

You may explain the situation and we can think over it.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
