Question: Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Both of our parents passed away few years back, they left 3 houses, and 2500 m2 land. My 2 brothers seems to keep the property just as it is. they just want to run the business on the property (rental) and divide the income into three, or in case of any family need, we use the money from those rental money. is this allowed? Question: Dear Mufti Sahib, Assalamualaikum, These days some section of the Muslims are claiming that Zakaat can be given to non-Muslims based on one of the groups [ Muallafatul Quloob – the category of those whose hearts are to be reconciled to Islam ] mentioned in Surah Taubah.
