I am having problem in naming my child,My parents want to name my wife want to name her child I have no problem in naming,Who has the rights in Islam to name the child ,mother or grand parents

Answer In Islam, the prerogative of naming the child lies with the parents. If a father and mother disagree on a name, then the father has the right to name the child. in all of my documents (e.g passport, birth certificate, educational documents), my step father’s name is used as my real father’s name. Do I need to change these documents….and One more thing is that I have a half-brother (we have same mother) who doesn’t know that my mother re-married. Should I tell my half-brother that I am not his real brother.
