Shaking Hands with Women

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Amjad Rasheed

Is there a dispensation for shaking hands with women at work if it’s difficult to avoid?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

There is no dispensation for [m: a man] shaking hands with a marriageable woman (Ar. ajnabiyya) whether at work or elsewhere. Furthermore, there is no hardship in avoiding this. Whoever claims such in reality only suffers from misplaced shyness that the Devil brings on in order to lead him to the unlawful.
