Is it permissible to play chess, whether a little or a lot?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Playing chess whether a little or a lot is permissible, yet disliked, in our school.

However, playing chess becomes unlawful if money is stipulated to the winner by both or either players.

Likewise, it is unlawful to play chess if it makes one delay the obligatory prayer past its time deliberately.
