Q. Can Muslim businessman decorate their shops with Christmas trees, santa clause for business?
A. By decorating ones shop/business with Christmas features (Christmas trees, Santa clause etc.), one will be adopting the salient features of Christmas which stems from Christianity. In doing so, there is a great fear of one losing his/her Imaam as Islam is averse to the beliefs and salient features of Christianity.
It is not permissible to decorate ones shop/business with Christmas trees, Santa clause etc. even for business purposes.
