Walaikumussalam w w

The order of khidmat of parents is directed to both; the son and the daughter. Whoever does most khidmat will get the most reward. They will also get the duas of their parents. So forget the rules and regulations and serve your parents to the best of your ability.

At the same time, the son is supposed to be stronger and as such he should take it upon him to lookafter his parents.

If they were disabled and needed support to use washroom or needed to wear nappies then it’s the son’s responsibility to provide this khidmat for the father and the daughter should do her mother’s khidmat. If the son was married and his wife does the khidmat of her mother in law, she will receive the same reward as doing khidmat of her own mother.

Wallahu a’alam.
