Giving Quran to non Muslims and explaining tahaarat to them

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question: I’m thinking of giving a copy of English/Arabic quraan to one of my classmates along with a copy of fazaail a’maal as she is very interested in it and was asking about it

However I’m not sure what the rulings are regarding cleanliness etc.

For any male or female non-Muslim do I need to ask them to du ghusl, wudhu etc?

Thank you for answering this question.

Answer: Explain Tahaarat to them. Tell them the benefits of Tahaarat and that it attracts Allah’s mercy and drives away shaytan. Then request them to read Quran with Tahaarat so that they can derive maximum benefit.

Mawlana salim dhorat saheb narrated that an African non-Muslim in Leicester was interested in Islam. He was given a copy of the Quran and told to read it with Wudhu. He would read it with wudhu and Allah granted him the tawfeeq to embrace islam.
