In shafi’ee mazhab, does Wuzu break by touching a woman?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question: Assalamu Alaikum, how are you Hazrat, I have a question regarding to Shafi maslak about wazu, if a man makes wazu, her women or mother or any other touch his body with her any body parts, is the wazu invalid? Or if a women is Hanafi and her husband is Shafi and after performing wazu it is prohibited to touch the body parts of the husband. Please give me the reply as early as possible.

Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Answer: According to the Shafi school of Thought, if he touches his Mahram then wudu does not break, or if he touches a small girl, then it also won’t break. But if he touches a non Mahram with any part of the body, with the condition of skin to skin contact then it will break. It does not matter if he was in the state of passion or not, the person that touches and the person who is touched, wuzu for both will break.

And Allah SWT knows best.

Alhamdulillah I’m fine, in haj at the moment. (1/11/11 A Aslam)
