Early Termination of Haidh and Salah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah

My period stopped last night which was the sixth day. My usual habit is seven days.  In this situation, do I have to perform qadha for seventh day or will it be counted as part of my period given the usual habit?

JazakAllahu Khaira

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق

If the number of days of one’s usual menstrual habit have not completed but the bleeding stops, then it is mandatory to perform salah by making ghusl towards the ending time of that salah. The full 7 days will not be considered as haidh, however, until the number of days of the menstrual habit are completed, it is impermissible to establish marital relations. Since the blood had stopped on the 6th day and you had become clean, it is mandatory for you to perform qadha for the salah of the 7th day.
