Aqa‘id (Beliefs)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Aslaamakakum respectiful mufti shaib,

I heard on tv ( one of the mufti on tv was saying this ) that if you make fun of the angels then your nikka break and you have to perform a new nikka .

If a woman said some (its wasn t a bad joke , it was something they are listening to us but she is not remember the exact words she used that time) about the angle, and laugh on them , which are sitting on our shoulders and writing everything down , so in this situation do she has to do the nikka again with her husband , please explain it with details, she is very much upset and scare because that time she didn t know that how bad it is to talk something about angles in a joke.

Thank you

The belief about angels is part of the core beliefs of Islamic faith as mentioned in ‘Eeman al-mufassil‘. Making fun of the sha‘air(signs) of deen or any core beliefs of faith are considered as kufr(disbelief). A person who has committed such an act should repent and renew his Eeman and Nikah.
