About beard?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Is it Sunnah, Wajib, or Fard to grow a beard in Islam?

If it is Wajib or Fard or Haraam (big sin) not to keep the beard or trim it then why did Allamah Iqbal, Tipu Sultan (Mysore), qari abdul basit abdus samad(egypt) have no beard?

It’s Wajib on every Muslim man to keep one fist beard, to make it less than a fist is impermissible.

Translation: Hazrat Nabi Karim صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم has said that: Oppose the Mushrikeen and make beards long and trim the moustaches. When Hazrat Ibne ‘Umar R.A. used to get done with the Hajj or ‘Umrah , he would hold his beard in the fist and would cut the hair below the fist.

The people who don’t keep the beard are responsible for their action, you should ask them the reason not us.
