Showing private parts to doctor

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Assalaamualaikum,

I am a 26 years old male. I am suffering from incontinence i.e. a few extra drops of urine dribble out after I relieve myself. My mother asked me to consult a Urologist. The (MALE) doctor as a part of his investigation, asked me to show my private parts to him which I did. He inspected them while having his gloves on and told me that everything is normal. My question is, Is it permissible in Islam to show your private parts to the doctor.

JazakAllahu Khair!

There is room/permissibility for the doctors to see the private parts, per necessity, to the extent needed.
