Assalaamualaikum,
We have few pizza chains (Papa John’s, Dominos, and Pizza Hut) that are owned by Muslims. What I would like to understand what is the Islamic ruling in regards to cross contamination that may be present during the preparation of the pizza. Primarily I have been told by a few people that when the pizza is cooked in the brick oven or stove, vapors from cheese and meat move freely from in the environment and it is common for them to cross-contaminate pizza cooking at the same time or even in the next batch. I would like to know if taking precautions to ensure separate cutting knife and changing of gloves in preparation is sufficient to be able to eat from these chains. I appreciate your time in looking into this matter.
Jazakallah

If these tools and utensils are cleaned adequately that there is no effect of Haram meat or any impermissible thing then there is room for its consumption, however, if a person stays away from it then it’s much better.
