Question: As salam alaykum,

Am I allowed to marry a chaste man despite my failure to quit my addiction to masturbation?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray that this message finds you well, insha’Allah.

No, you do not have to marry a fornicator because the verse you are referring to is speaking of a particular context, and in any case, has interpretations according to the scholars.

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “The one who repents from sin is like the one who never sinned.” [Ibn Majah] (A Reader on Tawba (Repentance))

Repent from your mistake, ask Allah to change you, whilst actively taking the means of change, and supplicate for a righteous spouse.

And Allah alone knows best.
