Do I Need to Remove My Lenses When Performing Wudu?

Question: Assalam alaikum,

If I wear contact lenses, and while washing my face, close my eyes, will my wudu still be valid?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and faith, insha’Allah.

No, you do not need to wash your eyes because it is harmful, thus whether you are wearing contact lenses or not, your wudu would be valid.
