Removing hair

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Regarding cleanliness, when and upto where does a male Muslim shave.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

The hair within the pubic area and armpits is supposed to be removed.

From hadiths, it is known that it is disliked to leave this till the hair becomes long.

It is recommended that this be done weekly, ideally on Friday (before the Friday prayer). It is not disliked to delay this to two weeks. It is blameworthy beyond that, and sinful beyond 40 days. [Tahtawi, Hashiyat al-Maraqi]

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam,
Faraz Rabbani
