Prayer for Truckers

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

My father is a two-truck driver. He leaves the house early and he returns home late. He was wondering, is it better for him to make wudu2 before he leaves the house, and pray his prayers in the truck 7adiran (NOTE: he would have to do all the rok3at while sitting down); or is it better for him to wait until he comes back home and pray them as qada2an?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

It is personally obligatory to perform the obligatory prayers standing, with bowing and prostration on the ground. Just as it is possible for drivers and others to stop to use the toilet, it is surely possible for your father to stop to pray at least the obligatory prayer.

And Allah alone gives success.
