Acne and Washing the Face in Wudu, and Blood on Towels

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

This is a two part question. I have acne on my face and wheni was my face a pimple or two occasionally bleeds. Sometimes this blood gets on da towel that I dry my face with. I didn’t notice this until recently. Is the towel najas? Also could you please explain the najas rules regarding blood.
The second part of my question is regarding medication that I am taking for my acne. I have to apply my medication once in the morning and once at night. Thus it should be on my face at all hours, except the two times of day when I was my face before apply the medication. Obviously if I wash my face for wudu the medication will wipe off. I would apply new medication but it is an expensive and limited supply of medicine. Also if i constantly wash my face thru out the day, due to my sensitive skin, my face dries out causing more acne. Is there an alternative way to for me to handle my face when it comes to wudu?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

[1] Blood is only filthy when it has flowed out of the body–such that it moves past the point or exit or had the force to do so. Thus, small spots of blood aren’t filthy and don’t break wudu. [ Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah ]

[2] The basis is to wash one’s limbs when one can. If you can’t, or if you fear genuine hardship or harm, then you can wash the areas that you are able to wash and to wipe the areas you can’t wash with a slightly wetted hand. If even this poses a hardship, then you can even skip wiping those areas (or washing/wiping the rest of that limb, such as the face). This returns to the principle that, “Hardship is lifted,” taken from the Qur’anic verse that, “Allah has not placed any hardship for you in religion.” [ibid; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

And Allah alone gives success.
