Closing eyes in prayer and dua

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by SunniPath Answer Service Team

Is it completley forbidden to close the eyes while praying or making du’aa? If we have kids or a cat in the house, can we stop them coming in front of us while praying, is movement allowed in these circumstances? Finally it is known that the Prophet(PBUH) used to raise his hand to those who used to greet him while he was praying, is this so.
