What to do with those who keep moving their fingers in tashahhud

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Sometimes you see people, at the time that seems to be after the recitation of the Tashahud, lifting up all their fingers up then putting them down. Is there evidence for this practice? and if not, should one, in a good way, advise them not to do that?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

Such issues are matters of difference: we don’t make such things an issue, but ask others to respect our right to follow sound scholarship.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
