Does Ghusl have to be with running water or can it be in a still bath?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

What is the correct way to do ghusl? does it have to be with running water or can it be in a still bath?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Wa Alaykum Assalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu,

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful & Compassionate

Both ways are fine, as long as one ends up washing one’s entire body, and rinsing out one’s mouth and nose.
