Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Is it permissible for a woman to teach in front of men without a barrier (referring to Islamic knowledge)? So men will be looking at her directly?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate. May His blessings and peace be on His Beloved Prophet, the best of creation, and his family, companions, and followers.

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

There is difference of opinion regarding this. If proper decorum and manners are kept, it would be permitted to do so. When secondary conditions do not dictate otherwise, a barrier would in of itself be superior.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
