Can you control jinn? I have heard that you can control a jinn in 40 days, is this true? Is this allowed in Islam? 

Answer:

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon His Messenger Muhammad, his folk, companions, and followers

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I’ve never claimed to control jinn, and don’t know how to do so.

It is prohibited to deal with the jinn—as they are generally devious and deviant, and can cause much harm to humans at the physical, emotional, and religious levels.

And Allah alone gives success.
