Can a man and woman pray in one line?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

A woman should stand behind the man if they are praying together.

Imam Shurunbulali said in Maraqi’l-Falah:

One person [whether it is a man or understanding child] will stand on the right of the imam [as for one woman she will stand behind.
(Allama Hasan Shurunbulali, Maraqi’l-Falah pg 247)

He also mentions further on as follows:

As for a woman she has to stay and pray behind
(Allama Hasan Shurunbulali, Maraqi’l-Falah pg249)
