(1) According to the Hanafi Mazhab (eating of meat regardless of any animal) does not invalidate wudhu. Narrations which apparently show that the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) exhorted the Sahaabah (R.A) to perform wudhu after eating camel meat have been interpreted to mean simply washing the hands and rinsing the mouth out. This too as a praiseworthy thing and not waajib. Another interpretation is that this was a ruling in the early stages which was later aborgated.
