Images of deceased Muslims: permissible or degrading?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
whats the ruling regarding looking at images/pictures of dead muslims and printing them(eg newspapers). i have heard some ulama say that it is not right. is there a hadith on the subject. is it degrading the honour of a muslim?

Answer
The viewing of pictures in itself is a prohibited act in Islam. Publishing them falls under the same category. The honour of A Muslim must be observed even after his death.
