Bismillah

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah’s guidance)

According to the Shaf’i Madhab one will become a Musafir by travelling approximately 16 Farsakh, which is 48 miles. Because 1 Farsakh= 3 miles * 16 Farsakh= 48 miles.
(Ma’arifus Sunan Vol. 4 Pg. 473, Darse Tirmidhi Vol. 2 Pg. 328)

Also, according to Imam Shaf’i to do Qasr (shortening of prayers) is Rukhsah (permit) and as for praying full will be virtues. (Sharhul Muhazzab Vol. 4 Pg. 335, Darse Tirmidhi Vol. 2 Pg. 321),

Therefore, it is permissible and virtues to pray the full Salah.

And Only Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.
