Help for my brother

The situation that your brother is in, is definitely a sad one but Insha Allah, Allah (SWT) will relive him of all difficulties. The first step is for your brother to sincerely repent for his actions. This will include getting involved with this gang as well as borrowing money and having to pay interest. Allah (SWT) loves the repentance of His servants so your brother should read 2 rakaats Salaatut Tawbah and thereafter beg for Allah’s forgiveness. He should repent for his actions and vow not to do the same in the future.
If he still owes this gang money, then this amount should be paid off. The following dua should be recited to Insha Allah assist in the payment of debts:
Allahummak fini bi jalaalika an haraamika wa ag ni ni bi fadhlika am man siwaak.
O’ Allah, save me from the haraam and make the halaal sufficient and by your favour, make me independent from others.
However, if the gang is merely harassing him then he should read the following:
• Surah Yaseen. It is reported from Ibnul Kalbi that a man whose life had been threatened consulted an aalim who advised him to read Surah Yaseen prior to leaving his home. He did as he was told and the enemy failed to notice him.
• Imaam Baghawi (RA) has related a hadith wherein Rasulullah (SAW) said that Allah (SWT) says: “Whoever recites Surah Fatiha, ayatul kursi and the following ayaat of Surah Aale Imraan
Shahidallah…till hakeem (ayat 18)
Qul lillah humma…till hisaab (ayat 26 & 27), after every fardh salaah, I shall guarantee his place in Jannatul Firdaus, grant him a place in My blessed sanctuary of peace and safety, fulfil 70 of his needs, cast a gaze of mercy towards him 70 times daily, protect him from every enemy and envious person and also grant him victory over them.”
• One should also recite: “Hasbunallu wa ni mal wakeel” in abundance.

Your brother should also read salaatul haajaat and beg of Allah (SWT) to assist him.
May Allah (SWT) ease everyone’s difficulties and answer all our duas. Ameen.
