Do I need to fast again or wait 40 days after giving birth and experiencing bleeding during Ramadan?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
salaam i gave birth two weeks before ramadan i bleed for two weeks i fasted the first three day of ramadan then bleed again for a few days then fasted again, that happened a few times i just want to know do i have to fast the days again or do i simply wait six weeks(40 days)to start fasting again

Answer
Bismillah

Assalamu alaikum,

A woman who gives birth must wait for 40 days according to Shari`ah, (even if the blood has stopped during this period), she could only start any form of worship after the 40 days has finished.

In your case, you must let Month of Ramadhan pass and thereafter, do the qaza for the missed ones. Also You do not need to do Qaza for any missed Salat.

And ALLAH Taala Knows Best.
