As’alamualaykum, i would like to know whether tallow or tallow derivatives used in personal care products is halaal, ie: in non food products. Your help is greatly appreciated. Jazak Allah

Respected questioner, Tallow is fat from an animal which has been rendered, so products can be stored for extended periods without the need for refrigeration to prevent decomposition. Thus if the fat was taken from a halal animal slaughtered in the Islamic manner it will be permissible to use. And Allah knows best ————————————– |
