Why do women marry young?

Respected Sister,

Not only women, but men too are required by Shari’ah to get married early as to avoid fitnah of having relationships outside of wedlock which is haram and very rampant amongst the society we live in nowadays.

Marriage is a unique constitution highly recommended in Islam to avoid its followers into the snare and deception of Shaitaan as in to commit sins all the time while having relationships outside of wedlock. Once married, Allah SWT descends upon the husband and wife blessings and mercy and there will be no room for anyone to accuse the couple of committing haram as they are both halal for each other then.

It comes in a Hadith that Nabi SAW said:
‘Oh the gathering of youth! Whomsoever from amongst you is capable of marriage, therefore he should get married because it is more modest for the eyes and more chaste for the private part. And whomsoever is not capable, therefore he should fast because it will be a shield for himself (against his carnal desires).’ (Muttafaqun ‘Alaih – agreed upon)
