What is the definitive answer regarding urine drops after using the toilet and its impact on salaat?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
I have read various responses on other forums with regards to urine drops after a person has been to the toilet. However, they seem to be inconsistent in some they say splash water on your undergarment and forget about it as it’s shaytaan playing tricks with your mind and in others it says your salaat isn’t valid. Can you please give me as definitive an answer as possible.

Answer
Bismihi Ta’aala

Wa-alaykum As-Salaam

(1) If during the time of the prescribed Salaah a person does not have enough time for one to make wudhu and perform the prescribed Salaah, then such a person will be classified as Ma’zur. However, if one has more than the above prescribed time, then in this case the Salaah will be invalid, and one will have to repeat the Salaah.

(2) To avoid the above mentioned case i.e. shaytan playing with one’s mind, after cleansing yourself in such a manner that you are satisfied that no drops of urine are remaining, you should splash some water on your undergarments. Thereafter, it is ok to perform Salaah. If any drops still come out, then you are relieved of having to repeat wudhu or Salaah.

And Allaah knows best.
